Inclusion and Diversity
At QoMEX2020 we aim to promote and extend diversity and inclusion in several ways in order to front QoMEX as an inclusive conference that reflects diversity and that welcomes a variety of perspectives. We will work towards this goal by means of a range of instruments, including:
- Travel grants (scholars from regions that are currently under-represented at QoMEX, female scholars and more generally, scholars from underrepresented genders, scholars with special needs)
- A Quality of Life Inclusion poster session and a special session on user diversity as part of the main programme
- Mentoring for undergraduate and PhD students
- Awards to celebrate diversity and to nurture new talent in the community
- Reaching out directly to female researchers working on topics that are relevant for QoMEX
- Evaluation of the initiatives post conference.
Further information on how and where to apply for grants will be forthcoming.
